Rotwein+Blake was retained by Mack-Cali Realty Corporation to design a new headquarters facility at 7 Sylvan Way which will be home to Roseland Residential Trust, a Mack-Cali Company and other Mack-Cali Company corporate departments. At approximately 50,000 SF, the two Mack-Cali units are divided on each wing of the floor. Visitors are greeted at a single reception point off the third-floor elevators with a pallet of wood, stone, back painted glass and lacquer. Dual entry portals flanked by textural wood media walls that brand each business unit, lead into each wing of the floor.
The open work environment features exposed structure and open mechanical systems, low work stations and full height glass office fronts allowing daylight to penetrate deep into the floor. Additionally, connecting the two wings is a large café/lounge designed to foster collaboration between the two units. The space is light and relaxed offering multiple scenarios including dining booths, community tables and lounges to work, meet or just take a break.
