As an integral part of the comprehensive repositioning initiative for 1085 Morris Avenue, our team was tasked to transform the building’s voluminous lobby into a destination that resonates with today’s workforce and ultimately attract new tenants.
Our concept led to a transformative design that features a five-story atrium space with a striking 10ft pergola visible from the outside, joined by a pavilion with ample seating and collaborative work areas, serving as a prominent entry point. Bold carpet patterns and floating ceiling elements bring energy to the voluminous space, while felt tambour panels wrap the oversized structural columns complimenting the existing structural textures and colors.
This redesign also involves relocating the reception area, expanding collaborative dining spaces, and providing versatile work options for tenants and visitors alike. A comprehensive update is planned for the cafeteria, introducing private dining and meeting areas. The training room will be relocated, and a full gym will be integrated, enhancing the overall appeal of the building.
